Stephanie Lundquist-Arora and Harry Jackson were two of the four adults who reacted inappropriately to the student's performance of the national anthem at a meeting, the website reported.

Lundquist-Arora and Jackson withdrew from the race after their behavior was criticized online by disappointed parents, reports said.

Both of the former candidates apologized after the incident, NBC4 Washington said.
